I stop seeing him one day in 1978, at a school in Ceiba del Agua, where he was famous for knowing the songs of Matamoros, Visotsky and Areta Franklin. I found him a quarter of a century later, referring easily to the comrades Eisenstein and the masters of Cinecittá. Emilio Oscar Alcalde  is an habanero artist with unique cultural genealogy. He has exhibited in film festivals as a representative of Cuba, Colombia and the United States. He has many homelands as Zidane and he is deeply rooted to El Vedado as Kundera is to Bohemia. He is my friend and my favorite filmmaker.
